Shawnee Academy, a non-profit, 70-bed, residential treatment facility for adolescents, children, and youth, located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, seeks a full-time Psychiatrist to join our psychiatric team. Candidate must be either Board eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry, and must have an active Pennsylvania license. Candidate must also have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience utilizing psychotherapy, family therapy, group therapy and psychopharmacologic intervention. These requirements may include residency and fellowship experience. Responsibilities include weekly therapeutic interaction and treatment of children who have experienced varying degrees of Trauma PTSD, Psychotic, Anxiety, and Affective Disorders, children suffering with autistic spectrum disorders, and working to help motivate children besieged with Oppositional and Defiant traits. The attending Psychiatrist will also be available to supervise and train clinical staff while under the direction of Dr. Eugene Jennings, Medical Director, renowned for his Shawnee presentations/lectures on topics such as spirituality and psychiatry, neurofeedback and other general psychiatric topics. The Shawnee Academy residential program utilizes the Sanctuary Model for treatment of Traumatized youth, and a medical treatment model which fosters a therapeutic and full team approach, incorporating family, advocacy agencies, educational services, direct care line staff, and outside medical consultation and treatment. Shawnee Academy welcomes CVs from candidates who may possess a variety of eclectic interventional treatment skills and offers an opportunity to learn and utilize neurofeedback, while becoming more proficient in the total treatment of adolescents and youth.

We provide a comprehensive benefits package and salary range of $85,000 - 150,000/year.
